Senior Zane Phillips, an international relations major at McKendree University, has recently been selected to participate in the highly competitive, yearlong paid fellowship as an English language teaching assistant at Technos International College this upcoming fall in Tokyo, Japan.

Junior Kelsey Lyles, a psychology major at McKendree University, was recently awarded the Fulbright-Mitacs Globalink internship to conduct research in Canada this summer. The Fulbright-Mitacs Globalink enables about 60 students from the United States to attend a Canadian university in which they will undertake advanced research projects for 10 to 12 weeks in their area of interest under the supervision of a professor.

The McKendree Speech and Debate team hosted and competed in the National Parliamentary Debate Association's Championship Tournament and the National Parliamentary Tournament of Excellence during the university's spring break.
