Unforgettable Performances Coming to the Hett This Autumn

Lebanon, IL (10/01/2024) — (LEBANON, Ill., Oct. 1, 2024)- The Hettenhausen Center for the Arts (the Hett) at McKendree University will be hosting two inspiring performances this autumn: the Rev. Nontombi Naomi Tutu and Sierra Green and The Giants. For tickets or more information on all shows, please visit theHett.com or call the box office at (618) 537-6863.

The following are only some of the performances coming to the Hett this autumn:

Oct. 8, 7p.m.: The Rev. Nontombi Naomi Tutu, a sought-after public speaker, comes to the Hett stage to speak on her experiences growing up in apartheid South Africa as a part of the Distinguished Speaker Series. Her experiences in life have taught her that everyone loses when we accept systems of oppression and hate. She is a race, gender and human rights activitist and is the daughter of Archbishop Desmond Tutu. Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors, and $15 for youth, with discounts for Friends of the Hett.

Nov. 8, 7:30p.m.: Sierra Green and The Giants come directly from New Orleans' iconic Frenchman Street to provide audiences with a performance brimming with timeless soul music. This group commands the stage with their refined and alluring sound that is sure to leave audiences captivated. Tickets are $45 for adults, $40 for seniors, and $22.50 for youth, with discounts for Friends of the Hett.
