McKendree University to Host Easter Egg Hunt March 28

Lebanon, IL (03/16/2026) — McKendree University, in partnership with the First United Methodist Church, will be hosting their second-annual Easter egg hunt on Saturday, March 28 from 10 a.m. to noon on the university's front lawn. The event is free and open to the public.

Check-in and registration will begin at 9 a.m. There will be separate egg hunts per age group with children ages three and younger starting at 10 a.m., children ages four to seven starting at 10:10 a.m., and children ages eight to 12 starting at 10:20 a.m. Each child should bring their own basket to collect the eggs hidden around campus. One lucky winner from each age group will also receive a special Easter basket. Registration is required in order to be eligible.

In addition to the egg hunt, the morning will include face painting, fun tattoos, and more fun springtime activities. There will also be opportunities to take photos with the Easter bunny and McKendree's mascot, Bogey D. Bearcat. Hot Mess Express Coffee will also be onsite with beverages available for purchase.
