McKendree University Students to Perform "She Kills Monsters" April 4-6

by Tina Napper

Lebanon, IL (03/26/2025) — McKendree University's students will be performing She Kills Monsters, a dramatic comedy based in the world of Dungeons & Dragons, from Friday, April 4 through Sunday, April 6. The Friday and Saturday performances will begin at 7:30 p.m. while Sunday's matinee is set for 2:30 p.m.

Admission is free for McKendree students, faculty and staff. General admission tickets are priced at $5, and reservations are recommended. Please contact the Hett box office at (618) 537-6863 to reserve seats or purchase them online.

In She Kills Monsters, Agnes Evans is cleaning out her childhood home in Ohio following the death of her teenage little sister, Tilly. When she finds Tilly's Dungeons & Dragons notebook, however, she finds herself catapulted into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was her sister's refuge. In this high-octane dramatic comedy laden with homicidal fairies, nasty ogres, and 90s pop culture, acclaimed playwright Qui Nguyen offers a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior within us all.

The Hett opens for general admission seating 30 minutes prior to each performance. For more information, please contact Michelle Magnussen at (618) 537-6586. To purchase tickets, please visit www.thehett.com.
