McKendree University's Summer Classes Set for June 2

by Tina Napper

Lebanon, IL (03/06/2025) — McKendree University is now offering a wide range of exciting classes for interested students to take this summer. Courses begin June 2 and end on July 25. Lebanon campus undergraduate students will save 50 percent on tuition when they register for summer classes offered at McKendree University's Lebanon, Ill., campus or online. McKendree students may access the class schedule online via Admission.

The university is also offering one free course during the summer to students who have completed their first term at McKendree. To qualify, students must be a Lebanon undergraduate student experiencing their first summer break at McKendree, must be registered full-time for the fall 2025 semester and must be in good standing with the university. Study abroad courses and courses with fees are not included, nor are graduate courses.

By taking summer classes, students can accelerate their academic program at a significant savings, take a lighter course load during the regular semester, eliminate the paperwork required to register at another school, potentially boost their grade point average and complete an internship in the summer, which will help with their future plans.

This offer does not apply to graduate students or any of the university's off-site locations. Lab or other course-specific fees will also apply; however, student activity and health services fees will not be charged. The financial aid staff will review all students who have financial aid eligibility.

Housing cost rates for students who want to work, study or train this summer are as follows:

May 10-31: $330
June 1-30: $450
July 1-31: $465
Aug. 1-21: $315
Entire summer (May 10-August 21): $1,560

Current undergraduates interested in summer courses may contact their academic advisors, and new students should contact their McKendree admission counselor for more information. Non-McKendree students may contact the admission office at (618) 537-6831 for more details. For specific course descriptions and credits, please refer to McKendree's Undergraduate Digital Catalog. Applications may be submitted for free online at apply.mckendree.edu.
