Six School of Education students are leading seventh and eighth graders in experimenting with the physics of sports the week of July 29 at a STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) sports camp at Belle Valley School in Belleville, Ill. The program is a collaboration between the university and the Illinois Math and Science Academy. McKendree's teacher candidates completed weeks of online training in inquiry methods of teaching math and science before the five-day camp.
