The McKendree speech and debate team's season has come to an end with strong performances at the International Public Debate Association's National Tournament and the National Parliamentary Tournament of Excellence.

McKendree University has established a Collegiate Young Adult Club of the National Association of Colored Women's Clubs (NACWC) and Youth Affiliates, Inc., America's oldest African American women's organization.
