Six School of Education students are leading seventh and eighth graders in experimenting with the physics of sports the week of July 29 at a STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) sports camp at Belle Valley School in Belleville, Ill. McKendree University's Admission Tele-counselors recently celebrated a successful fall semester. Tele-counselors are student ambassadors who phone prospective students to encourage them to apply to McKendree, visit the campus, and confirm their attendance at large events. In their first semester, they made 1,912 total call attempts and spoke to 622 prospective students or parents. Their work generated 117 new student applications, 41 of which have been admitted.
