About McKendree University

McKendree University offers students many ways to make their mark on the world, with 50 undergraduate majors and co-curricular activities including study abroad, debate, marching band, community service, campus ministries and Greek life. Our Bearcat student-athletes compete in 26 men’s and women’s sports in NCAA Division II, and the Hettenhausen Center for the Arts is southern Illinois’ finest performing arts venue. Our reputation for high quality education in a friendly, nurturing environment is well known and nationally recognized. Total enrollment is over 3,000, with a 236-acre campus in Lebanon, Illinois near downtown St. Louis, and centers in Louisville and Radcliff, Kentucky.

Twenty McKendree University students spent their spring break outdoors in snowy central Illinois, assembling swing sets for families affected by the November 2013 tornado. The students volunteered for "Hope Swings in Washington," a mission project sponsored by the United Methodist Church.
