Paige Brocaille, a resident of Tamaroa, was one of 73 new members initiated into University's Chi Mu chapter of Kappa Delta Pi, the international honor society in education, on April 8 at the Hettenhausen Center for the Arts on campus. Brocaille is a undergraduate student at McKendree.

Kappa Delta Pi inducts those who have exhibited the ideals of scholarship, integrity of service, and commitment to excellence in teaching and allied professions. Founded in 1911, it is the largest honor society in education, with 600 chapters and more than 40,000 members.

"By accepting membership into Kappa Delta Pi, we recognize undergraduate and graduate teacher candidates for their scholarly achievements and dedication to the education profession," said Dr. Timothy Richards, chapter counselor and associate professor of education at McKendree University.
