McKendree Student Monica Heimos Presents Research to Midwest Sociological Society

Monica Heimos was among seven McKendree University students who presented their undergraduate research in quantitative criminology at the Midwest Sociological Society annual meeting, "Integrating the Sociology Eclectic: Research, Teaching and Activism," in Chicago from March 27 to 31.

Heimos, a senior sociology major from Waterloo, presented a poster, "Youths' Attitudes toward Education: Does Family Stability Have an Effect?" She is a member of Alpha Kappa Delta sociology honor society. Faculty participants were Dr. Neil Quisenberry and Dr. Melissa Barfield, associate professors of sociology, and Dr. Stephen Hagan, assistant professor of sociology.
