McKendree Student Mildred Menke Presents Research to Midwest Sociological Society

Mildred Menke was among seven McKendree University students who presented their undergraduate research in quantitative criminology at the Midwest Sociological Society annual meeting, "Integrating the Sociology Eclectic: Research, Teaching and Activism," in Chicago from March 27 to 31.

Menke, a senior sociology-criminal justice major from Waterloo, presented a paper, "Residential Location and Gun Ownership: How They Affect One's Level of Violence." She is a member of Alpha Kappa Delta sociology honor society. Faculty participants were Dr. Neil Quisenberry and Dr. Melissa Barfield, associate professors of sociology, and Dr. Stephen Hagan, assistant professor of sociology.
