McKendree Student Brianne Funk Presents Research to Midwest Sociological Society

Brianne Funk was among seven McKendree University students who presented their undergraduate research in quantitative criminology at the Midwest Sociological Society annual meeting, "Integrating the Sociology Eclectic: Research, Teaching and Activism," in Chicago from March 27 to 31.

Funk, a senior sociology-criminal justice major from Fayetteville, presented a paper, "Juvenile Behavior and School Performance: Does the Makeup of the Household Have an Effect?" She is a member of Alpha Kappa Delta sociology honor society. Faculty participants were Dr. Neil Quisenberry and Dr. Melissa Barfield, associate professors of sociology, and Dr. Stephen Hagan, assistant professor of sociology.
