2013 Oct 1

Kaitlin Cartwright, a McKendree University junior psychology and religious studies major from Auburn, is a candidate for 2013 Homecoming Queen. She is the president and student intern of Campus Ministries; directs the Haven after-school program; serves as vice president of service for Alpha Phi Omega and historian for Pi Gamma Mu. She is a resident assistant in Barnett Hall, a member of the Psychology Club, and helps out at her church.

Candidates are determined by their application and an interview with a panel of judges. Interviews are scored on the candidates' ability to exemplify the qualities of leadership, spirit, integrity and achievement through their involvement at McKendree University. Selection is determined by the candidate's initial application, interview scores and student voting results.

The king and queen will be crowned at the Headphone Disco dance party on Friday, Oct. 4, and the entire court will be introduced at the homecoming parade and football game on Saturday, Oct., 5.
