Jawaun Jackson Visits the State Capitol on Student Lobby Day

Jawaun Jackson was among a group of McKendree University students, faculty and staff members who participated in the annual Federation of Independent Illinois Colleges and Universities student lobby day on April 12 at the Illinois State Capitol in Springfield. Jawaun and others visited the offices of State Sen. Dale Fowler (R-59th Dist.), Senate President John Cullerton (D-6th Dist.), Rep. Charlie Meier (R-108th Dist.), Rep. LaToya Greenwood (D-114th Dist.) and Rep. Katie Stuart D-112th Dist.), who acknowledged the group from the House floor. The students also visited Abraham Lincoln's tomb in Springfield before returning to campus.
