2013 Apr 22

Mildred Menke, of Waterloo, Ill., was among the outstanding Class of 2013 students recognized by McKendree University during its Honors Day convocation on April 19. Menke is a senior speech communication and sociology-criminal justice major in the Divisions of Humanities and Social Sciences.

Graduate and undergraduate honorees were selected by full-time faculty members based on four major components of the university's mission: responsible citizenship, engagement, academic excellence and lifelong learning, noted Dr. James Dennis, McKendree University president.

The annual event was held at the Hettenhausen Center for the Arts on campus. Photos are posted online at http://picasaweb.google.com/mckendreebearcats.
