Felicia Mathis in Play at McKendree University

2012 Oct 25

Felicia Mathis, of Mount Carmel, Ill., will participate in "Win with Wheeler," a political comedy by Lee Kalcheim at McKendree University's Hettenhausen Center for the Arts for four performances, Oct. 25 to 28.

Mathis, a McKendree University first-year, portrays Chick Wilson in the play, about a campaign manager and his team as they do whatever it takes to get their candidate elected. With a candidate who seems to commit a gaffe every time he speaks; a research assistant possibly running off to Puerto Rico; and a drunken candidate's wife, the team tries to pull off a win for Wheeler while asking themselves, is it worth it?

The Russel E. and Fern M. Hettenhausen Center for the Arts is Southern Illinois' premier performing arts venue, presenting world class dance, drama, classical music and jazz. "The Hett" provides McKendree's theater and music students a state-of-the-art venue in which to showcase their talents. The 488-seat auditorium is located on the university campus in Lebanon, Illinois, 25 miles from downtown St. Louis. For more information, visit www.theHett.com.
