Dakota Reed Participates in McKendree University Play

Dakota Reed, of West Frankfort, Ill., is participating in in the McKendree University Theater Department production of "Somewhere in Between," a quirky romantic comedy.

The play by Craig Pospisil tells the story of Jasper, a 29-year-old single New Yorker and the wide variety of people he encounters in the city's streets, shops, homes and restaurants as he searches for happiness and fulfillment. Reed, a first-year psychology major, is the light board operator.

Four performances will be held at the Hettenhausen Center for the Arts at 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 28, March 1 and 2; and at 2 p.m. on March 3. General admission seating is free. "The Hett" is Southern Illinois's premier performing arts center, providing McKendree's theater and music students a state-of-the-art venue in which to showcase their talents.
