Carl Clarizio III is on McKendree University Homecoming Court

2013 Oct 1

Carl Clarizio III, a McKendree University senior athletic training major from Pawnee, is a candidate for 2013 Homecoming King. He is president of Iota Tau Alpha athletic training honor society, a Student Government Association senator, member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and winner of the 2013 "Bearcat Pride" Award. Clarizio has volunteered at the Cedar Ridge retirement home in Lebanon, Bridge the Divide equine therapy program in St. Jacob, and at campus-sponsored 5K races.

Candidates are determined by their application and an interview with a panel of judges. Interviews are scored on the candidates' ability to exemplify the qualities of leadership, spirit, integrity and achievement through their involvement at McKendree University. Selection is determined by the candidate's initial application, interview scores and student voting results.

The king and queen will be crowned at the Headphone Disco dance party on Friday, Oct. 4, and the entire court will be introduced at the homecoming parade and football game on Saturday, Oct., 5.
