Caitlyn Westfall is on McKendree University Homecoming Court

Caitlyn Westfall, a McKendree University senior psychology major from Alhambra, is a candidate for 2013 Homecoming Queen. A Presidential Scholar at McKendree, she was recently featured on its website in a "Make Your Mark" student profile. She is a charter member of Sigma Sigma Sigma sorority; vice president of Psi Chi psychology honor society; a New Student Orientation Leader, Peer Mentor and Advanced Leader. Westfall also teaches Sunday school at Salem United Church of Christ.

Candidates are determined by their application and an interview with a panel of judges. Interviews are scored on the candidates' ability to exemplify the qualities of leadership, spirit, integrity and achievement through their involvement at McKendree University. Selection is determined by the candidate's initial application, interview scores and student voting results.

The king and queen will be crowned at the Headphone Disco dance party on Friday, Oct. 4, and the entire court will be introduced at the homecoming parade and football game on Saturday, Oct., 5.
