Alayna Gillespie Featured in McKendree Art Gallery Exhibition

Artwork by Alayna Gillespie, of Highland, is currently featured at an All Student Show at the McKendree Gallery of Art, 224 West St. Louis St. in Lebanon, Ill. Gillespie is a sophomore undeclared major taking classes in modern art history and painting.

The exhibition opened on April 10 and continues through April 25. For gallery hours and information, visit www.mckendree.edu/artgallery.

Every McKendree student enrolled in an art class this semester is required to submit work for the show. "We have been very proud of the high level of work produced by our students, irrespective of their major or experience in the arts," said Amy MacLennan, assistant professor of art. "For many of these students, it is the very first time they have displayed their work in a formal setting."
