Spencer Marcum Competes in Speech Tournament for McKendree U.

Spencer Marcum, a senior speech communication major from Centralia, represented McKendree University at the University of Indianapolis tournament on Sept. 21. Twelve colleges and universities including Bradley, Butler and the University of Illinois, competed. The McKendree team advanced in seven events and took fifth place overall. Marcum advanced in four events to finals, placing third in programmed oral interpretation, fourth in poetry, fifth in drama and sixth in prose.
